    Modern equipment and advanced technologies

For the sake of the quality of services and the comfort of our patients, our departments are equipped with the latest equipment, supporting both the treatment process, diagnostics and planning.

To meet the expectations of our patients, we offer comprehensive treatment plans in every area of dentistry – from conservative treatment, through dental surgery and implantology, to demanding aesthetic dentistry treatments. Every day, our team of experts makes every effort to fulfill patients’ dreams of beautiful and healthy smiles.

    Computed tomography

Thanks to the top-generation CS 8100 3D and CS 9600 3D tomographs, we can take 2D panoramic photos and spatial photos in 3D format.

This enables precise diagnosis and treatment planning even in the most complex cases. 3D photos are an ideal solution for endodontic treatments, implantology, surgery and orthodontics.

    X-ray machine and scanner

We take all dental X-rays on site within a few seconds. The innovative Carestream system guarantees maximum safety.

Thanks to high-frequency technology, the patient receives a minimal radiation dose reduced by 30%. Additionally, the scanner allows you to immediately display the photo on the monitor.

    Intraoral camera

A regular mirror cannot always show the exact condition of your teeth.

That is why at the Dental Sense Medicover clinic we use a Carestream intraoral camera with a very high resolution, which allows us to observe even the smallest details. Thanks to this, we can accurately diagnose the problem and show the effects of treatment on a monitor placed just above the chair.

    Dental microscope

In our Clinic we use a microscope from the most renowned brand in the world, Carl Zeiss. By enlarging and illuminating the treated area, the microscope ensures maximum precision and effectiveness of microsurgical and endodontic treatments. Additionally, the Carl Zeiss microscope allows for the perfect execution of aesthetic Artistic Fillings, developed at Dental Sense Medicover for the most demanding patients.

In root canal treatment, we use a modern endodontic micromotor from the German company Schlumbohm with a built-in endometer.

This device allows for accurate measurement of the canal length during its preparation. Thanks to this, the doctor has full control during the procedure and the treatment is carried out with the greatest precision. Most importantly, the Schlumbohm system allows you to shorten treatment time by as much as 40%.

    Air abrasion

Thanks to the Aqua Care abrasive sandblaster, we are able to cure caries without drilling, pain and noise.

This innovative, minimally invasive and completely painless technique involves using a stream of compressed air with aluminum oxide particles instead of a drill. Additionally, air abrasion removes much less healthy tooth tissue, which makes it a more precise and less invasive method.

    Computer anesthesia

The latest version of SleeperOne computer anesthesia provides immediate and painless anesthesia.

All thanks to a microprocessor that controls the speed and pressure of the administered anesthetic. Thanks to this, we do not feel the moment of administration of anesthesia, but only its effect. The system can be used during procedures on both adult and pediatric patients.

    Intraoral scanner

The intraoral scanner allows you to perform a digital 3D scan.

    • Enables the detection of carious lesions during scanning.
    • Scanning comfort thanks to wireless technology.
    • Realistic and accurate color measurement of a patient’s teeth.
    • Improved technology to remove excess soft tissue during scanning.

Elegant interiors giving a sense of comfort

We know how essential the sense of safety and comfort is for you. That is why when establishing our clinic, we devoted so much attention to a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The entire team is dedicated to assuring that everyone who walks into our office feels right at home, and comfortable.

FAQ - what our patients ask most often

Every patient is subjected to thorough examination, based on which we determine the possibility and type of the treatment. In some conditions, such as diabetes, additional steps must be taken, so that the disease does not entirely preclude implant use.

Implant treatment is not performed in pregnant women. It is also inadvisable to place dental implants during in the early teen years (before 16), since the dental and facial bones are still forming at that age.

What’s important is the presence of an adequate amount of healthy bone to surround the newly placed dental implant.

Limitation of smoking is also decisive in the course of treatment.

Based on research and our experience, we can definitely state that implants may last the patient’s lifetime. We believe that correctly planned and carefully conducted treatment is imperative to ensuring success.

Another important factor influencing the durability of implants is the proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups.

The healing process usually lasts between 2 and 3 months, depending on the location of the implant.

The first days and weeks following the procedure are crucial. It is important that no soft tissue and bone inflammation develop during this time, which would disturb osseointegration – integration of an implant with your jaw bone.

    Post-Operative Instructions:

    • After procedure use ice bags on your jaw.
    • Do not eat, drink, spit, or talk until full sensation is regained in the anaesthetised area.
    • Avoid hot drinks and liquids during the first days after the procedure.
    • Do not smoke and drink alcohol during the first days after the procedure.
    • Avoid unnecessary talking for the first 2 days after the procedure.
    • Avoid physical effort and bending over.
    • Do not go to a sauna, solarium and swimming pool.
    • Rinse your mouth with lukewarm water after each meal.
    • Use 3-4 times a day an antiseptic mouthwash.
    • Brush and floss all other areas of your mouth in your regular fashion the day after your surgery.

Losing a tooth can be devastating, not only because it affects the way you look, but also because it can lead to other physical problems that may affect your health and prevent you from smiling with confidence. It is vitally important to replace missing teeth with dental implants promptly in order to prevent health consequences such as:

    • bone loss,
    • shifting and loosening of teeth,
    • alteration in the bite as a result of shifting teeth,
    • jaw joint problems,
    • difficulty in chewing properly,
    • increased load on the remaining teeth.

Zirconium crowns are absolutely metal free and the most advanced solution available on the market. They are made with the use of CAD/CAM technology, which ensures great precision and allows the crown to perfectly fit the tooth and gum. Zirconium (zirconium oxide) is an extremely durable material. Contrary to metal, it is characterised by high biocompatibility, thus does not cause allergic reactions and does not leave any black line at the gum level. However, the greatest advantage of zirconium crowns is their aesthetics. Owing to their gradient translucency and structure, they are indistinguishable from natural teeth.

With porcelain bonded crown, it is never possible to achieve such an aesthetic effect as in the case of all-ceramic or zirconium crowns. The metal is the main cause of that, as it does not transmit light and forms discolouration at the gum level. Additionally, metal can sometimes cause allergic reactions.

All-ceramic crowns not only provide beautiful and natural results, but are also durable and have no negative effects on the gums. Porcelain is attractive, strong, stable, and highly resistant to wear or stains. It offers a high level of biocompatibility because it does not contain metal.

At Dental Sense Clinic we see things from your perspective first, and then make recommendations for treatment. We want our patient to be certain that he or she is choosing the best solution. Therefore, during your consultation we will discuss with you all of the aspects that characterize solutions for teeth restoration, such as:

    • Aesthetics
    • Functionality
    • Comfort
    • Longevity
    • Cost

After the procedure, we place stitches at the extraction site. After the tooth (or teeth) is removed, you may be asked to bite down softly on a piece of gauze for 30 to 45 minutes after you leave the office, to limit any bleeding that may occur. You will receive ice pack and after-care instructions. It’s always important to closely follow these instructions to speed recovery and avoid any complications.

After getting your wisdom tooth pulled, you are likely to experience pain and swelling, but it will normally go away after a few days. There may be also some bleeding. For the pain, you can take a prescription pain killer given to you by your oral surgeon or recommended over-the-counter pain relievers. To help with the swelling, place an ice pack over your jaw. The cold helps to reduce the inflammation and ease any discomfort. It’s also important to keep your mouth clean during the healing process. Anti-inflammatory mouthwashes recommended by the surgeon and a post-surgical toothbrush will be of help here.

The recovery period can take several days and in some cases there may still be swelling and discomfort for a week or more. Usually, a check-up visit is appointed after a week, during which stitches are removed.

Root canal treatment is needed when decay, untreated on time, affects the tooth’s structure, leading to pulp inflammation. Advanced periodontitis and tooth trauma are among other reasons for endodontic treatment.

Indications that root canal therapy may be needed are a severe toothache, an abscess (pimple) on the gum, lingering sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures, presence of a swelling and or tenderness on pressure and biting.

In some instances the pulp of a tooth may die without showing any symptoms and the signs may only be found by an incidental investigation, such as an X-ray or by the tooth changing to a darker colour.

Local anaesthesia is used throughout the procedure. With modern anaesthetic solutions and a new computerized injection system technique, every possible step is taken to ensure that you are comfortable while the work is carried out.

Following treatment you may experience discomfort from the area. This is usually minor and does not last long.

A toothache is present before the root canal treatment and is connected with the inflammation. As a result, the situation is just the opposite – in most cases the treatment alleviates the pain.

Untreated tooth may result in serious complications, such as resorption or bone inflammation. Therefore, tooth extraction is the only alternative to endodontic treatment. This, in turn, is an irreversible procedure, resulting in the necessity to replace the missing tooth with a bridge or dental implant. One’s own tooth is always more precious than any prosthetic restoration. Thus, it is definitely worthwhile undertaking root canal treatment, which is a less invasive method, frequently providing the only chance for treating the unhealthy tooth.

High effectiveness of endodontic therapy at Dental Sense allows for saving almost any tooth instead of replacing it with more expensive solutions.

The purpose of orthodontics is to correct the positioning of your teeth so as to improve their function and appearance. It’s not just for aesthetic reasons that people seek this treatment; it’s also for health reasons, as it can reduce the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.

Undergoing orthodontic treatment to fix a problem that is making you unhappy can be life-changing. After treatment with braces or Clear Aligner you are likely to experience the following benefits:

    • Feel more confidence.
    • Express greater self-assurance.
    • Improve pronunciation and mastication.
    • Enjoy a comfortable, well-aligned bite.
    • Clean your straight teeth more effectively.
    • Live without TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction) and muscle tension.
    • Avoid tooth wear, crowding and other problems that can be caused by misalignment.

At Dental Sense, we promote minimally invasive treatment methods, if only possible. Therefore, before taking a decision about the way of treatment, each patient is subjected to thorough examination based on which we determine an individual treatment plan.

Tooth extraction is sometimes recommended in order to achieve the best results. However, the modern techniques we use allow for performing more advanced orthodontic procedures, which require tooth extraction less and less frequently.

    • Avoid eating and drinking for 2 hours following the treatment.
    • Avoid drinking coffee, dark soft drinks, tea and red wine for 24 hours after undergoing the treatment.
    • In case of tooth sensitive to hot or cold, use sensitivity toothpastes or mouthwashes.

No. Airflow Polishing is a gentle and modern dental procedure, which is entirely safe for the teeth enamel and gums.

    • Avoid eating and drinking for 2 hours following the treatment. Chewing gum is also not recommended.
    • Avoid staining products for at least 24 hours.
    • Do not wash your teeth for 12 hours following the procedure.

The key to keeping a bright, healthy smile throughout adulthood is to practice proper oral hygiene. There are many techniques and accessories for keeping your mouth in tip top condition. Their choice depends on individual patient preference and condition (for example, connected with age, periodontitis, fixed braces, dental implants, or other prosthetic restorations). Therefore, at Dental Sense Clinic, we focus on an individual scheme of dental hygiene. During your visit, we will advise on:

    • Optimal tooth brushing method.
    • Oral irrigator use.
    • Proper toothpaste and brush.
    • Dental accessories and their proper use (for example dental floss, interdental brushes).

In between regular check-ups, there are simple steps that each of us can take to greatly decrease the risk of developing tooth decay, gum disease and other dental problems:

    1. Choose soft toothbrushes in order to avoid gum irritation and exposure of tooth necks. Exchange your toothbrush every 3-4 months.
    2. Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Pay attention to the right technique of doing it. Too energetic brushing may cause hypersensitivity. Remember to brush not only the teeth, but also the gums and the tongue.
    3. Use dental products that contain fluoride, including toothpaste. They strengthen the enamel and prevent cavities.
    4. Use dental floss and interdental brushes which allow for cleaning the interdental spaces thoroughly. Remember that a standard toothbrush cleans only 60% of the tooth surface.
    5. Limit sugary foods, especially snacking them between meals. Sugars in food and drinks play a major role in the development of dental caries.
    6. If you have no possibility to clean your teeth after a meal, rinse your mouth with water, or better with a mouthrinse, for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Additionally, you can use chewing gum. However, choose gums containing xylitol instead of sugar.

Gum disease can have many causes. The major reason for the development of the disease is the accumulation of bacteria at the gum line in the form of a sticky, yellowish film, which is called dental plaque. If left undisturbed, bacterial plaque calcifies to form dental calculus or tartar, which inflame and damage the gums. Additionally, several factors increase the risk of developing gum disease, the most common of which include:

    • smoking,
    • drinking a lot of alcohol,
    • lack of enough vitamin and minerals in your diet,
    • diabetes and some other diseases, which can reduce how resistant gums and bones are to damage,
    • hormonal changes during pregnancy and menstruation,
    • malocclusion,
    • incorrect endodontic or prosthodontic treatment.

We are frequently faced with the conviction that baby teeth do not need to be treated as they will fall out anyway. Unfortunately, this is a false conviction. Caring for the primary teeth – and keeping them as long as possible – has a great effect on long-term oral health.

Although enamel on baby teeth is as hard as enamel on adult teeth, the layer is thinner, making children’s teeth more vulnerable. Milk teeth decay much more rapidly than permanent teeth. If decay is caught early, drilling may not be necessary. Delay will result in much more extensive, expensive treatment. Toothache can cause needless stress and unpleasant experience. Visiting the dentist when it “hurts” is the worst moment for introducing the child into the world of healthy teeth.

We aim to help children maintain their deciduous teeth as long as their mouths keep them in place. Keeping these baby teeth can specifically help prevent long-term problems with the adult teeth, including:

    • Misalignment due to missing baby teeth.
    • Decay spreading into permanent teeth.
    • Infection spreading into permanent teeth.
    • Gum disease.
    • Need for extensive, long-term orthodontic care.
    • Permanent teeth malformation, such as incorrect tooth shape or defects in enamel.

Clear Aligner is, above all, a good method for patients with minor malocclusions (misalignment of teeth). In such cases, the treatment proceeds faster and is less expensive than fixed braces.

Clear Aligner may also be used with more complicated malocclusions, such as crowding of teeth or diastema (gaps between teeth). The only issue to consider is the cost of treatment, which depends on the number of planned treatment stages.

Clear Aligner can be used on most adults and teenagers to align teeth. It has to be remembered that the desired results require self-discipline and systematic approach. The aligners should be worn for at least 20 hours a day.

There are no medical contraindications to wearing the aligners.

The duration of your treatment will depend on your individual requirements and self-discipline. Typically, treatment lasts between 5 and 15 months, but we will provide more information during your consultation.

The white spots on your teeth can be easily identified because they are lighter than the rest of the enamel and might even have a completely different texture from the surrounding tooth. They are actually a sign that there is a loss of mineral content on the surface of your teeth. The process is known as demineralization. If left untreated, the white spots can actually turn into cavities.

White spots on the teeth can have many causes including:

    • Fluorosis – this occurs when there is a very high fluoride intake when the adult teeth are developing.
    • Demineralisation – caused by poor oral hygiene, especially during wearing braces.
    • Medicine administered.
    • Trauma to a baby tooth.
    • Childhood illness.

The previous methods of removing such discolouration did not yield satisfactory results:

    • Fluoride therapy – very low effectiveness, especially in more advanced cases.
    • Composite fillings or veneers – usually require drilling, injections and loss of healthy tooth tissue, which is quite unnecessary in this case.

No. Only natural teeth may be whitened. Therefore, in some cases, in order to ensure ideal aesthetics, the replacement of old veneers, crowns and fillings is the best alternative.

Professionally conducted teeth whitening procedure is painless. A small percentage of patients may experience a 24 hour mild sensitivity after the procedure.

On average, teeth whitening lasts between 1 to 3 years, depending on your diet habits. Whether you choose in-office or at-home teeth whitening, there are things you can do to prevent stains and keep your smile as bright as possible:

    • Practice good dental hygiene, including brushing twice a day, flossing once a day.
    • Remember about regular 6 months dental check-ups.
    • Wash away stain causers with foods that stimulate saliva production, such as apples, strawberries, celery, carrots and pears.
    • Avoid things that can stain your teeth, such as smoking, coffee, tea, red wine and coloured drinks (e.g. Coca-Cola, carrot juice).
    • Rinse your mouth after eating or drinking so that stain causers don’t sit on your teeth.
