With respect to the youngest patients, preventing bite problems and improperly aligned teeth (malocclusion) is the most crucial aspect of orthodontics. Therefore, at Dental Sense, we focus on early and accurate diagnostic methods.
Invisible braces - Clear Aligner
Clear Aligner straightens your teeth using a custom-made series of transparent aligners created for you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Clear Aligner moves your teeth, little by little, in a precise, controlled manner, towards the desired final position. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten.
Clear Aligner has a definite aesthetic and functional advantage over standard metal braces. The aligners comfortable to wear, but they're also removable. That means you can continue doing all the things you normally would, from brushing and flossing, to eating whatever you like.
Ceramic braces
Ceramic braces are made to be tooth coloured so as to better blend in with your teeth. Tooth coloured wires are an option too, to make the brace even less noticeable. This makes ceramic braces a popular choice among the patients, who wish to straighten their teeth without attracting much attention to their orthodontics.
The timeframe of the treatment and the number of control visits do not significantly differ from the one with fixed metal braces.
Fixed metal braces
Metal braces are the more traditional treatment option for correcting bites and crooked teeth.
Strong, stainless steel brackets, tiny rubber bands called "ligatures" or "o-rings" and wires make up these braces. Metal brackets are less expensive than other bracket types.
It varies on the severity of the issue and how far your teeth need to be moved, but fixed braces typically take up to 2 years to have their complete effect on fixing your teeth. Throughout this timeframe, you will need to visit the orthodontist at our dental clinic at 6-week intervals so that they can make minor adjustments to the brackets and wires of the brace to keep moving your teeth in the right direction.
